new pattern | spring socks

Today I’m launching my new knitting pattern for the Spring Socks.

Again, the timings are well off. These socks have been ready, tested, tech edited and photographed for months but I haven’t been working whilst the schools have been shut and that went on a whole lot longer than we originally thought didn’t it so six months later, here I am.

Betsy finally went back to school last week and now I’m officially back at work, it’s really nice to be here.

I have made two pairs of Spring Socks.

The solid colour version shown here are made using Drops Nord in the Fog (08) colourway.

Drops Nord is a slightly thicker and warmer 4ply sock yarn, probably owing to it’s high alpaca content, and these socks work up lovely and warm, the perfect welly boot wearing, dog-walking socks for the winter months.

The second pair I made were striped using the Deep Ocean Mix (09) colourway and a random sock yarn that was lying next to it in the basket, I saw them together and knew I they were meant for each other but unfortunately I have no idea what this peachy yarn is or where it comes from because I have lost the label, it sure is pretty though.

The Spring Socks pattern can be purchase on either Ravelry or Etsy depending on your preferred platform.

I hope that you are all doing and feeling well, that your children are back at school like mine (forever grateful for how happy Betsy is to be back at school), and you are able to be back at work or living your life at a fairly normal (new normal, normal-ish, what even is normal anymore?) pace for September. I have a tax return to do this month which is very ‘old normal’ so wish me luck and happy knitting!
