crochet pattern | maya top
This top was originally launched as a free pattern in 2017, see here for details.
After five years and almost 600 downloads on Ravelry I decided to have another look at the pattern, review the sizing, put together some better modification notes and give it a name change too, all to make it ready to be a paid for pattern which you can now buy on either Ravelry or Etsy depending on your preference.
It’s such a great pattern because firstly it’s made entirely from granny squares, secondly it is easy to modify for all sizes and thirdly it is completely reversible.
The pattern has been updated with sizing for a small (UK 8-10), medium (UK 12-14) and large (UK 16-18) with detailed instructions on how to make it bigger or smaller from these base sizes should you wish.
The pattern uses Drops Alpaca but you can alternatively use any 4ply or light sport weight yarn for this pattern together with a 4.5mm hook.
The story of how the pattern came to be, and why my original sample has a different colour front and back, is in the original 2017 post so I will let you read that should you wish.
Hope you love the pattern as much as I do.
Enjoy crocheting.
