EPISODE 126 SHOW NOTES
In this episode I’m wearing my Hay sweater which I made in early 2018 and that seems like an age ago doesn’t it?
The pattern is from Clare Mountain and was in Laine, Issue 3. I made it using Drops Nord in the Plum colourway and it’s one of my favourites, the sleeves are slim and long and lovely.
FINISHED
I finished my final pair of Christmas socks!!! Yeehaw. My third pair of 24 days socks, this pair weremade with my yarn advent swap from Amy of Noble Character Crafts paired with Aloe Sockwool in White (100).
Check out Amy’s podcast here to see her version of these socks using the lovely Knit Picks Stroll yarn in Midnight Heather (what a great guess), I think they look fabulous and I totally want a pair.
You can buy the 24 Days Socks on either Ravelry or Etsy depending on your personal preference.
WIPS
I’ve almost finished my Felix jumper and it’s looking like I am going to have enough yarn after all which is lucky because I’m using the beautiful, and long discontinued Artesano Aran in the colour Hot Pink. It’s a 50% wool, 50% alpaca mix and very soft.
WIPS
Matchy socks are so called because they are an almost exact match of the Christmas socks I made for Darren last year.
I’m using the pretty Storm sock set from Studiomeez and swapping around the colours I used for Darren’s heels and toes so they look the same but different.
The yarn is lovely but has no nylon so I’m working these vanilla socks over 60sts instead of my usual 64sts.
I again spent quite a lot of time this week on my Princess Polka Dots blanket, the pattern should be coming soon and if you want to be kept up to date about my product launches and discount codes, they are sent via my newsletter so subscribe and be the first to know about pattern launches etc, you can do so by filling in the form below, I’m not the most prolific of newsletter writers so you’ll never be inundated and you can of course unsubscribe at any time.
AND FINALLY…
I had a lovely package in the post this week from Louisa who is @tenaciouslyshe on instagram and YouTube (she has more of a garden/upcycling channel these days). She sent me tons of vintage patterns and magazines as well as the most epic Patricia Roberts magazine which I will treasure.
Enjoy the podcast folks and remember to love one another and keep on trucking.
Happy knitting.
