episode 160 | half finished everything
EPISODE 160 SHOW NOTES
In this episode I am mostly talking half finished things.
WEST YORKSHIRE SPINNERS CAL
I’m now halfway through the West Yorkshire Spinners Bloom Blanket CAL designed by Zandra Rhodes.
Week 2 was calling Blossoming Buds and consisted of making granny squares with puff stitch centres. Very pretty.
I’m using the recommended yarn from the yarn pack as gifted to me by West Yorkshire Spinners.
The yarn is their Colour Lab DK and it is 100% British Wool, 225m per 100g ball.
The blue is Harbour Blue and the colours shown here are Botanical Bloom, Sunset Bouquet and Woodland Awakening.
I just started on part 3, Beautiful Blooms and now I’m crocheting big, blousy flowers which I love.
I’m using a 4.5mm, Knitpro Symphonie hook.
I checked and the Harbour Blue colour is sadly NOT available in WYS Signature 4ply but there is a new colour called Cobalt (1005) which would be a good substitute.
ALSO HALF FINISHED
I’ve finished one of my October Socks using the lovely birthday yarn from Biffsugar Yarns. They are living in my Ollie & Bella pumpkin bag and I love the colours.
I’m also half finished with my checkerboard stitch scarf using the free tutorial available here. I used my gifted yarn advent from Amy @noblecharactercrafts and the project is living in my bag from Coco & Flora.
AND FINALLY
I’m wearing my Yarndale pom pom earrings from 2016 because I’m planning a video tutorial for them, they would be a good wear for a Christmas party, yes? Keep your eyes peeled for that and also let’s see if I actually do anything with the glow-in-the-dark yarn this time, I didn’t last time so we shall see!
