EPISODE 150 SHOW NOTES

It’s my 150th episode! How cool is that?

To celebrate I’m hosting a giveaway, whoop, whoop!!

HALF FINISHED

Living in my beautiful Kelly Connor bag (I’m obsessed), I’ve half finished my gorgeous Love Island socks using the Mutant Mermaid sock set from Woolly Mama Yarns.

I’ve had a think about the sock set, which is still available from Woolly Mama but out of stock right now (I believe), and mine probably did come with the pink mini and I swapped the minis around to make Betsy some socks. Yes, I think I did that.

The original Love Island pattern is from 2019 and was inspired by the Love Island mini set from Alison at Biffsugar Yarns.

The pattern is just about to be refreshed and updated, I originally used 2.5mm needles and they are a bit big for me so am trying out 2.25mm needles this time, and then it will be available for sale through my usual channels.

If you get in there quickly, you can still get the pattern for free here but I will be removing this free link over the next couple of weeks.

WIPS

I’ve started my So Faded and it is working up with strong (MEGA strong) Halloween vibes. I’m not mad at it either. It’s living in the first ever project bag I bought at Yarndale 2016 and I think the bag was from Clare at Birdstreet Yarn.

I’m using the recommended needles and making a size 3 - the striped version I did back in the summertime was a size 4 and I wanted a snugger fit for this one.

The yarns I’m using are:

First Colour - Unregistered Animagus by A Homespun House - a Harry Potter club colour that I won in Amy’s (@noblecharactercrafts) 2021 make nine makealong.

Second Colour - Aunt Marge & Ripper by Paper Stories - again Harry Potter themed!

Third Colour - Stan Shunpike by Paper Stories - it’s basically a Harry Potter Halloween Sweater at this point!

I’m also working on my beautiful and very girly Most Ardently socks by Kelly at Row Row and Kades.

I’m using Peony by Wild Rose Yarn and am loving the lace pattern.
