episode 73 | when september ends
September is over! I’m so sad.
I love this month, really love this month, the air feels different, the vibration is active and the urge to declutter and organise has been strong. It just smells of possibilities and I’ve been making the most of the good vibes to get some shit down yo!
EPISODE 73 SHOW NOTES
FINISHED
Nobody’s Perfect Shawl and CAL
The very informal CAL was running on instagram and today I picked a winner and a runner up to get a little parcel of yarny goodness from me in the post (I LOVE POST)!!! The winner was Lisette @steilstudio and the runner up was Clare @crochetclareh. Congratulations to them both.
I finished mine last night and I love it. You can find the free pattern here.
Callie Cowl
I finished my third Callie Cowl last week. This one was made for a video tutorial on how to make the cowl which you can find here. The pattern requires 300g of super chunky yarn, I used Debbie Bliss Roma in the Teal colourway for this version and a 12mm hook.
JUST STARTED
Vintage Waves Socks
I’m making my first pair of crochet socks after, um, eight years of crocheting!!! Yikes.
I saw these socks designed by Clarisabeth @crochetcakes and knew that I had to at least give them a try and I’m loving how they are turning out.
I am using Cascade Heritage in two colours (and striping) and you can find the free pattern at www.crochetcakes.com.
Wendy Witch
I love her, I love her, I love her so much (I think you can probably tell from the podcast how much love I have for this gal), I can’t wait for her to be finished and I might just have to make another.
The wonderfully written pattern is by @sarahdeecrochet and you can buy it from her Etsy shop here.
I am using the recommended Scheepjes Stone Washed yarn together with a 3mm hook to make her.
NEW AND NOTABLE
I have purchased my Christmas socks yarn and this year I’m making the Robin socks from West Yorkshire Spinners. You can buy the yarn (which comes with a free pattern from @winwickmum) here.
Enjoy the podcast folks and I will see you soon.
