episode 122 | slime making noises

EPISODE 122 SHOW NOTES

Gah, I deleted the original show notes for this episode, will do my best to repopulate them as quickly as possible but bear with me please…..arghhhhhh!

In this episode Betsy is at the other end of the table making slime because my morning recording files got corrupted. She promised to be quiet but couldn’t be sure if you would hear her slime making noises or not :D

I’m wearing my Pink Memories jumper, a rather fabulous pattern from Isabell Kraemer that I made in 2017! Wow, I can’t believe that I made it so long ago plus I hardly ever wear it and I must rectify that situation because it is lovely. I made it using a kit from PoloandCo on Etsy which you can find here.

Rib & Gather Hat

FINISHED

I finished my fourth Rib & Gather Hat.

This version I made in the smaller size (84sts instead of 96sts) and I was quite surprised at how much smaller it’s worked up, but then I do have a giant head.

I used gifted yarn from Natalie in South Africa, she sent me a Biffsugar Yarn voucher (how lovely) which I used to buy the Christmas Lights colourway on the aran weight base.

Because this hat is basically child sized, I’m gifting it on to one of Betsy’s friends, hoping to add a pretty pink pom pom to finish it off.

I also finished some Christmas socks. These are the West Yorkshire Spinner socks that I usually make in December, this time in their new Vintage Tinsel Sparkle colourway - I love them, I think you can tell. I paired them with Violet from Opal on their 4ply Uni base.

Christmas Socks

WIPS

I have been working quite a bit on my two colour 24 Days Socks, they are super lovely. The blue is Petrol from Opal, again on their 4ply Uni base and the pastel yarn is a one-off club colour from Woolly Mama yarns.

I’ve also been working on my Viajante because I so want it to be finished by the end of January so I can concentrate on other things.

FINALLY

I bought the Christmas box from Birdstreet Yarn and I also showed off my gifted Pineapple Yarn skein that I received from Amy @noblecharactercrafts.

In other news all my product launches and discount codes are sent via my newsletter so if you want to subscribe and be the first to know about pattern launches etc, you can do so by filling in the form below, I’m not the most prolific of newsletter writers so you’ll never be inundated and you can of course unsubscribe at any time.

Enjoy the podcast folks and remember if it looks like a cold and it feels like a cold then it’s probably a cold. Enjoy knitting.
