pretty easy bows
Another pretty but easy stitch for you today. This one is a crossed bow stitch from my vintage Anne Rabun Ough book and whilst it looks tricky, it really is just a second row repeat (my favourite stitches of all).
The written pattern is:
chain in multiples of 2 and then add 3.
Row 1. Skip the first 2ch and *insert hook in next ch, pull up a loop, insert hook in next ch, pull up another loop, yrh and through two loops, yrh and through the remaining two loops, ch1; repeat from * to last ch, 1htr in last st, turn.
Row2. ch2, insert hook into first ch1 space, pull up a loop, insert hook in next ch1 sp, pull up another loop, yrh and through two loops, yrh and through the remaining two loops, ch1, *insert hook into same ch1 sp as last worked, pull up a loop, insert hook into next ch1 space, pull up another loop, yrh and through two loops, yrh and through remaining two loops, ch1; repeat from * to end with last 'pull up' worked into turning ch space and finishing with 1htr in top of turning chain, turn.
Repeat Row 2 for pattern.
