I was watched Anne of Green Gables at the time and she had this motif as a bedspread. Loved it. Wanted to recreate it and failed. Lovely vintage motif though.

Trying to get the sizing right for this vintage motif so I can attempt to make a blanket like the one on Anne's bed in Anne of Green Gables.

So far I have tried 4ply - way to big, and crochet thread size 3 which was also too big. Thinking I might have to go for really thin thread to get the right look and am petrified at the thought.
