Design: mostly made up

Yarn: mixed aran weight scraps

Hook: 8mm

Status: binned

Betsy went through a small stage of wanting a mermaid tail (rolls eyes) and so I made one up with a little help for the fins using the pattern linked in the ravelry notes below.

She wore it once. Of course. It is now in the bin.

It also doubled up as headwear in podcast episode 20 which you can find here.

Notes from ravelry

Made up a design using a whole bunch of acrylic yarn in rainbow colours.

Used the yarn doubled and chained until I got a fit around Betsy's waist then worked three rounds of half trebles in the round and then worked a standard five treble shell stitch in the round for three rows of each colour.

For the fin I used this excellent free pattern for guidance making mine shorter and slimmer.
