episode 44 | mr brightside
Well, I thought that I would have the Aster top well and truly done, done, done in time for this week's podcast. But alas, my inherent laziness took over the show and I chose to go to bed instead of staying up and finishing it off. It's no big deal, although I am starting to wonder if I'm perhaps avoiding it because of the amount of sewing required to finish it off!
To alleviate the boredom, and the pain of hooking with a teeny 2.5mm hook, I started a new pair of socks using the beautiful yarn I destroyed with my pink pilot pen! They are turning out quite unusual and I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not.

I'm making the Aster Top from Marie Wallin using Drops Baby Alpaca Silk in white. I want to make everything in her book Filigree Collection Three.
I'm making the Hermione's Everyday Socks by Erica Lueder. The free pattern can be found here.
I'm using Dance of Unicorns yarn from Hand Drawn Yarn on Etsy - this is yarn I ruined by resting it on my pink pilot pen!!! I'm also using new 2.25mm KnitPro Zing circulars, you can find them here.
My pretty, sock size project bag is from Piggys Market on Etsy.
You can find the Drops dress pattern online here.
