EPISODE 130 SHOW NOTES
Apologies if I’m not my usual peppy self in this episode, I’d had a migraine pretty much all week and I was still a bit dazed from it. Plus I didn’t get as much done this week as I would have liked especially in relation to my new pattern and that made me feel a bit deflated.
NEW PATTERN
Nevertheless, I am launching my new pattern today, the 24 Days Cowl. Hurrah.
It uses the same vintage stitch pattern that I used for my 24 Days Socks and I think it looks even more lovely in DK weight yarn.
I used my fabulous rainbow DK yarn advent calendar from Indie Yarn Club together with 100g of her Plush DK undyed.
The advent came with a bonus mini skein so was actually 25 days instead of 24 and it comes in two different sizes, achieved using different size needles. I also include an option for a 4ply version but this works up very snug so may not be to everyone’s liking.
You can find all the details in the show and buy the pattern either on Ravelry or Etsy but if you want to be kept up to date about my product launches and discount codes, they are sent via my newsletter so subscribe and be the first to know about pattern launches etc, you can do so by filling in the form below, I’m not the most prolific of newsletter writers so you’ll never be inundated and you can of course unsubscribe at any time.
WIPS
I am on the last section of my Viajante! I can’t believe it, 14 months later and I’ve finally reached the mesh lace part and therefore almost about to finish it. So excited to wear it especially because the yarn is so soft and lovely, it’s Malabrigo Lace in the Cognac colourway (now discontinued) and I’ve used 4 skeins for this project. The fabulous pattern is by Martina Behm.
HALF FINISHED
I also cast off my first Stepping Stones sock using DK weight yarn from Truly Yarn in the colour Magic.
I have loved and hated these socks in equal measure but overall am enjoying them, wish the colour of the yarn looked better on screen though.
The pattern does have a free version which you can access through the Ravelry link above.
AND FINALLY…
We are painted Betsy’s room this weekend using Spring Rose from Dulux, it ended being quite nice, not as blue tinged as I thought and Betsy is super happy with her new pink bedroom, I’ll keep you updated on the headache situation though!
Enjoy the podcast folks and remember to stay away from the fear mongering.
Happy knitting.
